The lawyer representing Radio Pakistan informed the court that the Investigation Officer (IO) planned to submit an additional charge sheet. This new document would include the names of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, as well as former provincial ministers Taimur Saleem Jhagra and Kamran Bangash, PTI Peshawar president Irfan Saleem, and party worker Amir Chamkani. These nominations were based on reports from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). However, the prosecution was reportedly obstructing the process of submitting this charge sheet.

The lawyer for Radio Pakistan, along with Special Prosecutor Naumanul Haq Kakakhel and IO Inspector Khushhal Khan, appeared before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday. The lawyer expressed that despite the identification of the accused through forensic and NADRA reports, the prosecution had not yet filed the charge sheet in court. An application was submitted to the ATC seeking contempt of court proceedings against the district public prosecutor and the CTD senior prosecutor for failing to present the charge sheet to the court.

The ATC responded by instructing the IO to submit the additional charge sheet through the proper channels. Notices were issued to the prosecution regarding the contempt plea, with a report expected by March 17. The court acknowledged the IO's request for more time to submit the charge sheet, while the lawyer for Radio Pakistan filed a contempt of court petition against the district public prosecutor, the CTD senior prosecutor, and the investigation officer.

Following the court proceedings, the counsel for Radio Pakistan addressed the media, stating that provincial ministers and lawmakers had been nominated in the case based on forensic and identification reports. He highlighted that the police had completed their investigation and forwarded the case file to the prosecution. However, the district public prosecutor had delayed further proceedings by withholding the file. The counsel urged the prosecution to fulfill its responsibilities in accordance with the law.
