Costco Canada has issued a nationwide recall of a dessert product due to potential undeclared nut allergens that could cause severe allergic reactions. The recall comes after the manufacturer, Mellow Food, warned that certain lots of Delici Dubai Style chocolate mousse may contain cashew nuts and macadamia nuts not listed on the label.
According to the statement released on March 3, the recalled product, which contains six servings and carries the Universal Product Code (UPC) 812190020825, poses a risk to individuals with allergies to these nuts. The affected lots have best-before dates between February 27, 2026, and March 27, 2026.
Consumers are urged not to consume the mousse if they are allergic to cashew nuts or macadamia nuts. Officials have cautioned that these undeclared allergens could lead to serious, potentially life-threatening reactions in sensitive individuals.
Costco Canada has advised customers who purchased the impacted product to return it to any warehouse location for a refund.
