Islamabad: Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Ms. Akhtar Bibi, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Bulgaria on the occasion of their Liberation Day.
In her message, Ms. Akhtar Bibi stated, “On the auspicious occasion of the Liberation Day of the Republic of Bulgaria, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and warmest greetings to the Government and the friendly people of Bulgaria. This historic day stands as a proud symbol of courage, resilience, and the enduring spirit of a nation that values its sovereignty, cultural heritage, and democratic progress.”
She noted that Liberation Day is not only a commemoration of Bulgaria’s struggle for freedom, but also a celebration of national unity and determination. She remarked that the sacrifices made by the Bulgarian people in pursuit of independence continue to inspire nations around the world that cherish peace, dignity, and self-determination.
Highlighting bilateral relations, Akhtar Bibi emphasized that Pakistan and Bulgaria enjoy cordial and friendly ties built upon mutual respect and constructive engagement. She observed that over the years, both countries have developed meaningful cooperation in areas such as trade, education, cultural exchange, and parliamentary diplomacy, strengthening understanding between their peoples and laying the foundation for a broader partnership.
She further expressed confidence that there remains significant potential to enhance collaboration in diverse sectors including technology, agriculture, renewable energy, and people-to-people connectivity.
