Multiple food products sold at Costco locations throughout Canada have been recalled recently due to various safety concerns, such as contamination risks and undisclosed allergens.
The affected items consist of frozen meals, baked goods, desserts, and infant formula, as indicated in notifications published on both Costco’s website and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Among the recalled products are Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice, with specific batches being recalled due to potential glass contamination. Ajinomoto Foods North America has issued a voluntary recall expansion for this product as a precautionary measure. The affected products were sold in Canada with best before dates ranging from 9 September 2026 to 12 November 2026, and from 24 November 2026 to 22 December 2026.
Additionally, select lots of Shoyu Ramen with Chicken Bowls have been recalled due to the potential presence of glass. Ajinomoto Foods North America, in collaboration with the USDA and CFIA, announced this voluntary recall.
Other recalled items include Discovery Kitchens Beef Cabbage Rolls, which may contain rubber pieces, and Delici Dubai Style chocolate mousse, which could contain undeclared allergens like cashew and macadamia nuts.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has also recalled Cheddar and Chive Artisan Scones due to mold, and Kendamil infant formula over concerns regarding the cereulide toxin, known to cause symptoms of food poisoning such as nausea and vomiting.
